Here it is the end of February and we haven’t seen the sun for what feels like an eternity. I am a person who needs to bask in the sun on a consistent basis so when it goes into hiding, I try to do anything and everything to keep my spirits up. This evening, I talked myself into a workout by telling myself I would walk on the treadmill and watch a movie. The movie ended up being “Blessing Bracelet” on the Hallmark Channel and I couldn’t have picked a better movie! I’ll let you read the summary through the link. This movie will not disappoint. It gives you hope, fills you with love and makes you start counting your blessings. Hallmark, we need more movies like this!

In a previous blog post I talked about gratitude. Having an attitude of gratitude has been a life changer for me. There truly is healing power in expressing gratitude for things we have been blessed with. It helps lift burdens, brings light to any situation and provides hope for the future. It allows me to show more kindness and have more tolerance. It brings me peace in times when I would have allowed myself to boil over in frustration. Counting my blessings allows me to be mindful of how blessed I truly am.

Psalm 103:6

2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

6 The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.

I love these scripture verses. Especially verse 3 where it states: who healeth all thy diseases. Who doesn’t want to be healed from dis-ease?

There are so many benefits from living in gratitude. Start today and see what happens to your demeanor. I would love to hear all about it.

Here is just a small list of things I am blessed with.

·        Knowing my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and where all blessings come from.

·        My husband, who is the best provider!

·        My kids, they are some awesome people!

·        My house

·        Energy work

·        Nature

Here is my bracelet I plan to use as my blessing bracelet. It has a lot more beads to use than just four (like in Blessing Bracelet) but it shouldn’t be too hard to come up with a blessing for each bead!

Tell me one blessing you are grateful for today?
