Tiny Movements, Big Results

Have you ever felt like making a big change in life is just too much? Like, where do you even start? The good news is, you don’t have to do something massive to see real change. In fact, the most powerful transformations often start with the tiniest, simplest steps.

Think about it: drops of water can shape stone over time, and seeds grow into towering trees with just a little sunshine and water every day. The same goes for us. Small, mindful movements can lead to lasting positivity in how we live, think, and feel.

What Are Tiny Movements?

Tiny movements are the little things we do that help us feel better and live better. They’re simple, like:

  • Taking three deep breaths when you’re feeling stressed and reciting affirmations that bring you back to a positive state of mind.

    • "I am safe, I am grounded, I am at peace."

    • "This moment will pass, and I will emerge stronger."

    • "I release what I cannot control and embrace what I can."

    • "I am anchored in calm and clarity."

    • "My breath is my anchor; I inhale peace and exhale tension."

    • "I trust myself to handle whatever comes my way."

    • "I choose to respond with grace and patience."

    • "I let go of fear and invite in calm."

    • "I am centered, steady, and aligned."

    • "Everything I need is already within me."

  • A daily gathering and grounding meditation done in the morning right after getting dressed. Place your hands over your heart and take in some good deep breaths. Visualizing a light grounding your feet into the ground and a light stretching to the heavens. Choose whatever color of light you need at that moment. Let your intuition guide you.

  • Smiling at yourself in the mirror (yes, even if it feels silly). Make silly faces at yourself is even better. It brings on a few laughs and lightens your energy and brings in positivity. Do this after getting dressed in the morning or after washing your hands.

  • Jotting down one thing you’re grateful for before bed. You don’t even need to jot it down but can say it out loud. There is healing power in gratitude. When you focus on things you are grateful for you are able to release the stressors of the day. The big picture is able to come into focus.

  • Opening your heart in love towards things and people that are frustrating you. The biggest frustration for me is driving. The insane amount of self-entitlement on the road is outta control! Instead of feeding into the insane, negative energy and lowering my vibrational status I have chosen to love and fill my car with love. I even visualize little hearts coming off my car towards all those around me. I can’t tell you how many people have let me into the flow of traffic or have been courtesy in their driving. Coincidence, or is it… It sounds silly but it has worked beautifully. Traffic no longer drains me!

  • Can you say, “dance party?!” It is amazing what a little dancing around can do for your mood and mindset. Try one song a day right before lunch or right before the afternoon crazy happens.

None of these things take more than a minute, but they add up fast!

Why Do They Work?

It’s like compounding interest for your life. These little actions may seem small now, but over time, they build into something amazing. Tiny movements:

  • Shift your mindset toward the positive.

  • Help you feel more grounded and balanced.

  • Give you small wins that boost your confidence.

  • Create habits that make life feel easier and more joyful.

Big Changes from Small Steps

When you make small, intentional movements every day, you’ll start to notice:

  • You’re thinking more positively without even trying.

  • Stress doesn’t throw you off as much—it’s easier to bounce back.

  • Your energy feels lighter and more aligned.

  • You’re just happier.

Start with One Small Thing

Here’s the best part: you don’t have to wait. Pick one tiny movement and try it today. Take a deep breath. Stretch. Send a quick “thank you” text to someone. Every small action matters.

Tiny movements may feel, well, tiny, but they’re the start of something big. Over time, they’ll help you create a life filled with positivity, balance, and purpose—one small step at a time.

Teach Your Kids

Teach your kids about these small moments they can take through out the day. Our kids need to have tools they can use in order to calm themselves, center themselves and refocus themselves. Kids need to be aware of themselves too!

So, what’s your first tiny movement going to be? Share it with me—I’d love to hear!
